July 7, AMVET SHRIMP BOIL. VFW Post #998, 1802 E. Shawnee, Freeport. 5 pm to 8 pm. The public is invited to enjoy this event featuring large shrimp boiled in a pot with small red potatoes and corn-on-the-cob, coleslaw and homemade desserts.
