Description:
|
June 5-August 27, "SAVING THE SANCTUARY". Freeport Art Museum, 121 N. Harlem Avenue, Freeport. Tuesday thru Friday: 10 am to 5 pm; Saturday: Noon to 5 pm. This exhibition compares and contrasts the works of four artists affiliated with the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Department of Art. Although each specializes in a different medium - paint, glass, metal, photography, or found object sculpture - their art is united in the portrayal of symbolic preservation of their valued relationships, either within the home, or within the larger setting of the natural environment, or both. The artists include Nancy Mladenoff, Kim Cridler, Steve Feren, and Kitty Timea Huffman. (815-235-9755)
